lunching at the Crabtree on our wedding anniversary so missed all the fun, but congratulations to Andy Massingale who came 5th overall in 1:24:41, and Gayle who did this without actually training in 2:58:16. To quote Gayle:
I must admit stupidity caused me to enter having not run for at least a month…I thought the miles would not be too bad but I was a bit wrong, it was hot then it rained then it was hot again!! Still the marshals were awesome as so many were Joggers! I wasn’t quite the last over the finish line and I got in under 3 hours so i was pleased but I really must learn that the half marathon distance is not something that can be winged – it needs to be thought out and planned for. Lesson learnt!!!
There are several other runners down in the results as Joggers who, in truth, I’ve never heard of so some funny shenanigans there! Congratulations everyone who either helped or ran, and of course to Mark as Mr Course Manager!
