This is the Poynings run that Danielle has requested we do on Saturday. It’s about 12 miles and fairly flat with opportunities for short cuts.

This a fairly flat run, mainly on good paths, but it was surprisingly hard work at times, mainly due to the humidity, which made the sweat pour off me even more than usual! I am certainly glad I took a drink, even though it wasn’t at all sunny. However good banter and conversation throughout made the miles fly by and we passed such landmarks as Brian’s stile and Newtimber where Terry went AWOL and before long we were back at the Leisure Centre. The pace was fairly good when we were running, but we had a few short walks, so overall it was quite slow, but, hey, Saturday morning runs are not races. Now for the 17.5 miler over the Downs.
Have bought some Gels ready Hugh! Was a good run, really enjoyed it. Especially the bit when you all chased me over the field 😉
