Pizza Evening – at Dereks house
Hijacking one of our ‘pub run’ nights, Derek has offered to host an evening in around his ‘Smart Car size’ Pizza Oven in his garden in Henfield. The address has been emailed to all members separately, so if you need a further reminder please contact me!
Definitely ‘BYOB’ (Bring Your Own Bottle) but everything else is provided – unbelievable value!
Will have these toppings ready: sliced hams, chorizo, Italian meats, chicken, mozzarella, anchovies, olives, peppers, tomatoes, chilli, garlic, mushrooms, feta, sweet cucumbers & onions, chilli oil and garlic oil and for those with really big cahunas ‘Ghost’ pepper sauce!
I’ll be in the garden all day and ready for people at any time after 7:30 ish. Please come to the side gate (I’ll keep the dogs inside until used to the crowd – just make sure Malcolm doesn’t wear his postie uniform or there could be some growling!). Have enrolled help of Mel and my two daughters, so should be all ready.
I can cook 6 at a time, so if people bring their own tipple and are quite happy helping themselves until theirs goes in / comes out, then with 10 seats outside & 6 in the kitchen for those eating – it should work well. I envisage a conveyor belt of pizzas.”
What we need is an idea of numbers, so Derek knows how many bases to make and toppings to prep, ensuring no-one goes hungry. We need to know by Tuesday night latest if you’re coming, as he’ll be buying all ingredients first thing Wednesday.
